SUBSTANCE: product dispenser, comprising: a reader configured to read a machine-readable item and a controller connected to the reader and configured to: receive information from the machine-readable item associated with a consumer through said reader; configure at least one product characteristic associated with a product to be dispensed by the dispenser based at least in part on the information from the machine-readable item; providing the consumer with bonus information through a user interface based at least in part on the product or the size of a portion of the product; before dispensing the product, enabling, through the user interface, to select an adjusted product associated with bonus information; and dispensing the adjusted product. The method describes operation of said apparatus.
EFFECT: simple procedure for interaction of a client, consumer and user with a product dispenser and a network.
