FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: four-phase converter consists of three-phase transformer having three coils of the primary winding: primary coil (1), primary coil (2) and primary coil (3) which are star-connected (or delta-connected to the three-phase network, six coils (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) of the secondary windings having taps (13, 14, 15, 16) from turns and connected by a hexagon scheme having taps (17, 18, 19) from windings. Each of six coils of the secondary windings is a side of the hexagon circuit that converts three-phase system of voltage into six-phase system of voltage. Tap from turns divides number of coil windings into parts with ratio (0.5-Sin60°tg15°)/(0.5+Sin60°tg15°)=0.268/0.732 from the coil beginning. Coils (6, 7, 8, 9) of the secondary windings have taps from turns. Position of taps of the secondary windings is selected so that voltage values at taps from turns represent four-phase voltage system. Values of voltage at taps (17, 18, 19) from turns dividing number of coil turns into parts with ration (1-Cos30°/Cos15°)/(Cos30°/Cos15°) from the coil beginning in regard to "O" node represent symmetrical three-phase voltage system which effective value is equal to the effective value of four-phase system.
EFFECT: invention allows reduction of the converter weight and size, reduction of energy loss in the converter.
