FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: twelve-pulse step-up autotransformer voltage converter (with the voltage transformation ratio Ku=0,5 and zero point of the converter) can be used for creation of converters for AC and DC controlled-velocity electric drives. The voltage converter works as follows. At connecting of the three-phase autotransformer to a three-phase network in three rods of the autotransformer magnetic circuit there are three magnetic fluxes phase-shifted from each other by a one-third of the period. The execution of secondary winding for each phase as two coils on the rod of each phase allows to obtain two secondary voltages with opposite polarity. Thus, for three network voltages phase-shifted by 120 degrees, six secondary voltages phase-shifted from each other by 60 degrees are obtained. Thus, for three voltages of the network phase-shifted by 120 degrees, six secondary voltages phase-shifted by 60 degrees are obtained. When connecting six coils of secondary windings according to the description given above, six-phase "hexagon" ABCDEF with symmetric six-phase system of voltages on coils of the secondary winding is obtained.
EFFECT: decrease of active materials consumption at replacement of three-phase group transformer by three-leg autotransformer.
