FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: in twelve-pulse step-down autotransformer converter two coils of the secondary winding of each phase on the rod of each phase provide two secondary voltages with opposite polarity (with the phase displacement 180 degrees). For three voltages of the network phase-shifted by 120 degrees, six secondary voltages phase-shifted by 60 degrees area obtained. When connecting six coils (4-9) of the secondary windings according to materials of the application, "hexagon" with a symmetric six-phase system of voltages at the named coils of the secondary winding is obtained. On turns of the named coils of secondary windings it is possible to find twelve points, the potentials of which are equal by value, but differ by a phase by one twelfth of the period (by 30 degrees), and to obtain twelve-phase symmetric system of voltages. The connecting to outputs of twelve-phase system of voltages of valves (10-21) provides twelve-pulse rectified voltage.

EFFECT: lowering of consumption of active materials, improvement of weight and dimensional parameters of the converter, simplification of technology of its manufacture, minimising of losses and cost.
