FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves depositing a sorbent in form of particles onto the organic film on the surface of a water body. The sorbent used is incandescent particles of silicon dioxide in form of sand heated to 100-1700°C.
EFFECT: efficient removal of an organic film from the surface of a water body and simplification of the process.
