FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: method provides for submersion of a structure with embedded elements arranged under its base by acceptance of the ballast by the structure. Electrodes are installed in the sea bottom soil outside the zone of structure installation. Electrodes are connected with the positive pole of the DC source. Then the structure is submerged to ensure contact of embedded elements with the sea bottom and is maintained in this position. Afterwards the structure body and/or the embedded elements are connected to the negative pole of the DC source, and electric current is sent between electrodes. Current provides for osmotic motion of pore water in soil towards to the base of the structure and forms the area of soil with higher water saturation in the zone of structure installation. Then the structure is finally ballasted and installed on the sea bottom. Electric current is disconnected.

EFFECT: reduced labour intensiveness and costs, expanded range of depths and possible conditions of realisation, higher resistance and reliability of a hydraulic engineering structure.
