SUBSTANCE: device comprises an optical head and a controller. The controller defines service information of an information storage medium by control of an optical head for performance of tests in the fixed area of each recording layer of the information storage medium. The controller defines data volume subject to recording onto the information storage medium and divides the data volume approximately in halves between the recording layers. Also the controller controls the optical head so that divided data is recorded into the data area of each recording layer, and records the code combination with the output property that sets the data area border. Each of recording layers includes a non-recorded area, where data is not recorded, between the final and special area.
EFFECT: reduced time of information recording.
