FIELD: salvage appliances.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to start-up devices of self-contained breathing apparatuses, operating on chemically bound oxygen. The start-up device of the self-contained breathing apparatus comprises an ampoule with an initiating liquid and traction rods. Traction rods are designed for fixation of the ampoule for its coverage. The ampoule with the initiating liquid is made of a flexible plastic material with the possibility of its compression. The lower flexible traction rod fixes the ampoule with a regenerative cartridge by one end, and with its other end it is fixed with the upper part of the ampoule. The upper flexible traction rod fixes the ampoule with a outer nozzle of a breathing tube by one end, and with its other end it is fixed with the lower part of the ampoule.

EFFECT: proposed device starts up automatically as a breathing corrugated tube is opened, which results in simplification of device design and reduction of dimensions of a self-contained breathing apparatus.
