FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydroxonium-stabilised nanoparticles of silicic acid, a composition prepared from said diluted suspension, powder prepared from said dehydrated suspension and a preparation or drug formulation obtained from said suspension, a composition or powder and use thereof in all types of applications in food industry, medicine, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. The suspension contains nanoparticles of a colloidal solution of silicic acid with pH below 0.9, molar concentration of silicon in the range of 0.035-0.65, concentration of free water of at least 30% mass/volume and ratio of molar concentration of hydroxonium ions to Si greater than 2, and preferably less than 4. The method of preparing a stable suspension of nanoparticles of a colloidal solution of silicic acid includes steps of providing an aqueous solution of inorganic or organic silicon and rapid mixing of said aqueous solution of inorganic or organic silicon with water containing a strong acidic compound at temperature below 300°C, preferably from 1 to 25°C, to obtain a suspension of nanoparticles of a colloidal solution of silicic acid with pH below 0.9, stabilised by hydroxonium ions, with ratio of molar concentration of hydroxonium ions to Si greater than 2 and preferably less than 4, with molar concentration of silicon in the range of 0.035-0.65 and concentration of free water of at least 30% mass/volume.

EFFECT: synthesis of nanoparticles of silicic acid that are stable and capable of rapidly dissolving in monosilicic or disilicic acid when diluted in aqueous media.
