FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: structure of a platform-free orbital gyrocompass (PFOGC) comprises additional blocks and links, which make it possible to rotate a spacecraft according to the course by an arbitrary angle without loss of accuracy in SC orientation relative to the orbital system of coordinates (OSC), leaving the correction circuit from LVB in the working mode. Stabilisation of the spacecraft (SC) is carried out relative to the program system of coordinates (PSC). The SC may either freely rotate according to the course with a speed, or be in a certain position relative to the OSC according to the course, without loss of orientation accuracy. At the same time the PFOGC will operate in the correction mode from the local vertical builder (LVB) and continue building of the instrumental OSC without interruption.
EFFECT: improved accuracy.
