SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to prosthetic dentistry, and concerns cement used to fix the various permanent denture constructions. What is presented is the composite-compomer cement which is prepared of a glass-ionomer excipient containing strontium fluoraluminosilicate glass processed with polyacrylic acid with added barium alumoborsilicate glass and silicone oxide wherein the excipient is additionally processed with (3-glycidoxypropyl)trimethoxysilane; a binding agent of 2,2-bis[4-(2-hydroxy-3-methacryloxypropyl)phenyl]propane,triethylene glycol dimethacrylate, epoxycyclohyxane carboxylate, bis-urethane dimethacrylate glycerol and bis-(methacryloxyethylene carbonate)-diethylene glycol; a chemical curing system containing benzoyl peroxide and N,N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-para-amino toluene; a light curing system - camphorquinone, methyl ester of benzoin and dimethylaminoethylmethacrylate; in certain proportions. A method for preparing the cement involves the pre-processing of milled strontium fluoraluminosilicate glass with an aqueous solution of polyacrylic acid while stirring, thereafter the prepared gel is dried, powdered and mixed with milled barium alumoborsilicate glass and colloidal silicon oxide; the mixture of the excipient is additionally processed with (3-glycidoxypropyl)trimethoxysilane then mixed with the binding agent, the chemical curing system, and light curing system.

EFFECT: compound and method for preparing cement provides high compression strength, storage stability and good dimensional stability that reduces a risk of marginal gap formation.
