FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building. Proposed system comprises assembly station and assembly line. Assembly station comprises mounting and assembling means. Mounting means serves to mount and lock body components at assembly position. Assembly means is intended for welding jobs. Mounting means comprises several pairs of mounting and clamping appliances. Said pairs are arranged on line both sides at assembly station. Every pair is equipped with multiple mounts and clamps D for interaction with body components. Lateral mounts and clamps move along assembly line between their closed and open working positions. Every said lateral mount and clamp structure comprises rigid support and frame to carry aforesaid mounts and clamps D resting on said rigid support. Platform of every lateral mount and clamp structures can displace in lengthwise guides on one side of assembly line between assembly station and wait position. Rigid support comprises base platform and two interconnected columns. Lengthwise and crosswise positions of columns differ for rigid supports made for different body types. Platform making a part of every mount and clamp structure is identical for all aforesaid rigid supports.
