SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to automotive industry. System for assembly of a component on a motor-vehicle body structure comprises a clamping device, a centre for welding and conveyor line. Clamping device is provided with means for gripping said component and comprises a positioning device for introduction of device coupled with component in position of gripping and for transferring device connected to component to frame body before welding centre for attachment to body frame. Method of assembling component on car body frame in said assembly system consists in that in welding centre component is retained in assembly position on frame body by gripping and clamping device and welded on frame body. Gripping and clamping device is used in said system.
EFFECT: reduced time of assembly of car body.
