FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a mixed base oil product containing (i) light base oil obtained from a Fischer-Tropsch process, and (ii) gas-oil obtained from a Fischer-Tropsch process, wherein concentration of the gas-oil obtained from a Fischer-Tropsch process ranges from 1 to 20 wt %. The present invention also relates to electrical and hydraulic fluids, a method of producing a mixed base oil product, use of gas-oil obtained from a Fischer-Tropsch process in a mixed base oil product obtained from a Fischer-Tropsch process to improve cold flow characteristics of the mixed product, a method of improving cold flow characteristics and/or reducing kinematic viscosity of the mixed base oil product and use of gas-oil obtained from a Fischer-Tropsch process in a mixed base oil product, containing light base oil obtained from a Fischer-Tropsch process, to reduce concentration of an additive which improves cold flow in the mixed product.
EFFECT: obtaining a mixed base oil product having improved properties.
