FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: double-stage condenser comprises a vertical header with an upper steam-distributing, middle relief and lower condensate-collecting chambers, heat exchange pipes of the first and second condensation stages, fixed by input and output ends in the walls of the steam-distributing chamber near the relief chamber, and in the walls of the walls of the relief chamber and the condensate-collecting chamber, accordingly. In the relief chamber of the vertical header the output ends of the pipes of the first condensation stage are arranged above the input ends of pipes of the second condensation stage. A circular canopy is fixed to the wall of the relief chamber in a transverse manner, being located below the output ends of pipes of the first condensation stage, but above the input ends of the pipes of the second condensation stage. The canopy has condensate-collecting grooves arranged in plan between input ends of the pipes of the second condensation stage and condensate-draining holes.
EFFECT: reduced capture of the first stage condensate into pipes of the second condensation stage and higher efficiency of condensation at the second condenser stage.
