FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method involves excitation of induced oscillations of the investigated structure with harmonic forces with constant amplitudes and pitch-by-pitch varying frequency, measurement of kinematic movement parameters, speed or acceleration at excitation points and amplitude of exciting forces, build-up of amplitude and phase frequency characteristics or in-phase and quarter-phase components of kinematic parameters, determination of resonant frequencies and heights of resonant peaks, which correspond to them. Movements of one of the excitation points at resonant frequencies are accepted as generalised coordinates; generalised masses of the system are determined at those coordinates; the above system consists of a tested object, a vibration exciter and transient facilities; contribution of moving masses is determined and free frequencies and generalised masses of the tested object are determined.
EFFECT: higher measurement accuracy at experimental determination of free frequencies and generalised masses of vibrating structures of the tested object.
