FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to research of energy scattering characteristics in oscillations and may be used in investigation of technical properties of materials, dynamic characteristics of structures and their stability at alternating loads. In the process of the method realisation they excite forced oscillations of a tested object, measure and record resonant frequency fr and amplitude qr=q(fr) of one of kinematic parameters of oscillations of a tested object at resonant frequencies. Then by means of a variation of frequency of the driving force they detune resonance by frequency at the value Δf and record amplitude q1=q(fr-Δf) of the selected kinematic parameter at frequency f1=fr-Δf. Further they excite forced oscillations of the tested object at the second frequency f2=fr+Δf, record amplitude q2=q(fr+Δf) and calculate the logarithmic decrement of oscillations δ(Δf).
EFFECT: simplified performance of the research process.
