FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing regenerated uranium for removing technetium-99 that represents beta-active radiator. Proposed method comprises extraction of uranium (VI) by tri-butyl phosphate in organic solvent, cleaning the extract in extraction cascade flushing zone by reducing agent composed of nitrate solution containing carbohydrazide and re-extraction of uranium. Note here that technetium in said flushing zone is changed into non-extractable state by introducing amino carboxylic acid into solution of reducing agent.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of separation of uranium and technetium, ruled out back oxidation of technetium and reduced amount of liquid radioactive wastes.
