FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a lubricant oil additive by reacting a mixture of C3-C4 alcohols with phosphorus pentasulphide, neutralising the obtained mixture of dialkyldithiophosphoric acids with zinc oxide and separating the unreacted zinc oxide by filtering or centifuging, the method being characterised by that neutralisation is carried out by adding zinc oxide to the mixture of dialkyldithiophosphoric acids in molar ratio of 0.49-0.65:1, at temperature of 40-55°C, and before separating the unreacted zinc oxide, 4-10 wt % mineral oil is added to the neutralisation product.
EFFECT: simple technique, high cost effectiveness of the process and reduced production wastes.
