SUBSTANCE: illumination device (3) consists of the circuit board (15) with a great number of light-emitting diodes (8) installed in-line, light guide panel (9) containing receiving surface (9a) to receive light from the light-emitting diodes (8) and frame (12) containing a lateral edge (12b) with the attached circuit board (14) and a lower edge (12a) with the installed light guide panel (9). The frame (12) contains a groove (12e) with an end section of the circuit board (14); at that the groove (12e) is formed by the lateral edge (12b) and lower edge (12a) at the side opposite to the light guide panel (9). A supporting member (support) (16) is inserted into the groove (12e) in order to hold the light guide panel (9).
EFFECT: achieving uniform intensity and quality of emitted light.
