AVERAGING DIAPHRAGM WITH HOLES LOCATED NEAR INNER WALL OF PIPE Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC G01F1/37

Abstract RU 2491513 C2

FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: element of a flow meter with an averaging metering diaphragm for measurement of volume flow of the fluid medium in a pipeline for its transportation with an inner perimeter, comprising a flat diaphragm that creates resistance to the flow and is arranged along the width of the inner part of the pipeline perpendicularly to the flow of the liquid medium and made with several holes arranged at the distance from each other. Besides, the profile of each hole is a segment of a circle limited with an arc matching with a part of the inner perimeter of the pipeline.

EFFECT: possibility for solid particles and liquid in process of gas transportation to freely pass via holes in a flow meter, rendering minimum impact to open edges of diaphragm holes at any, circular or flaked, flow of a liquid medium in a pipe.
