SUBSTANCE: system for magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of a body (14) placed in an analysed volume (7), wherein the system has a means (2) of generating a substantially homogeneous main magnetic field in the analysed volume, a means (3, 4, 5) of generating switched magnetic field gradients that are superimposed on the main magnetic field, a transmitting means for emitting RF signals towards the body (14), a control means (20) for controlling generation of magnetic field gradients and RF signals, a means (17) for receiving and sampling MR signals, a reconstruction means (21) for forming MR images from signal samples and an auxiliary means (23), having an RF antenna (24) for receiving RF signals generated by the transmitting means, wherein the system (1) is configured to generate circularly polarised RF signals using the transmitting means, wherein the polarisation direction can be switched as needed between forward and backward.
EFFECT: high safety and reliability, reduced noise.
