Said imaging device includes a first terminal for sending a clock signal to the auxiliary device and a second terminal for data communication with the auxiliary device based on the clock signal, wherein a control means is configured to control the signal level in the first terminal at a predetermined level when communication for data transmission is completed, and is configured to change the signal level during clocking with output of a vertical clocking signal, and a control means on the side of the auxiliary device is configured to control an optical element drive based on timing, where the signal level in the first terminal on the side of the auxiliary device changes at the expiry of a predetermined time, during which the signal level is maintained at a predetermined level.
