FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: method of transmitting and receiving messages over a power supply network, wherein a modulating pseudorandom pulse sequence at the transmitting side is time-shifted by one of possible n>2 cycles depending on one of the n possible values of a discrete information signal; the obtained signal is multiplied with a second pseudorandom pulse sequence; at the receiving side, the signal received from the power supply network is multiplied with a copy of the second pseudorandom pulse sequence, pre-phased with the second pseudorandom pulse sequence of the transmitter. The obtained signal is multiplied by all possible n shifts of the first copy of the modulating pseudorandom pulse sequence and accumulated in n integrators; the obtained n accumulation results are compared with each other; the maximum value is selected and the value of the transmitted information is determined from the obtained result.
EFFECT: high noise-immunity, high rate of information transmission and rational power consumption.
