SUBSTANCE: device includes new components: a failure counter, a logic device, transducer amplifier for communication between said components and other components. A search and track detector with a controlled capture bandwidth is also used. In order to improve quality of communication in case of optical antenna pointing errors under varying communication conditions, maintaining the optimum capture bandwidth of the tracking device based on an estimate of the state of the laser communication channel is proposed. The disclosed device enables, during the entire communication session, to maintain the optimum capture bandwidth of the tracking device, which provides the best (possible for current conditions) communication quality which is characterised by the maximum average information transmission speed.

EFFECT: high average information transmission speed when using information transmission protocols with establishment of communication on a return channel in variable communication conditions.
