SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a method and a system for detection of noise from adjacent channels between two systems that have adjacent frequencies. The method and the system calculate (802) an output FFT-signal (quick Fourier transform) for one or more zero subcarriers from the side of upper and lower frequencies and central subcarriers of frequency channel data. Capacity values are calculated (804, 806) for zero subcarriers from the side of upper and lower frequencies and central data subcarriers for use in definition of noise availability from adjacent channels.

EFFECT: production of more reliable results when detecting noise from adjacent channels in OFDM systems.
