FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: method for security management in a wireless network includes steps of: identifying a plurality of orthogonal classifications of wireless medical devices (S1, S2), each orthogonal classification having one or more hierarchical security domains; generating identifiers (IDij-a, IDij-b) for each security domain within each orthogonal classification; generating key material (KMij-a, KMij-b) for each identifier (IDij-a, IDij-b); exchanging identifiers (IDij-a, IDij-b) to establish a key agreement, or an access control, or privacy protection or a combination thereof, at the deepest common security domain within each orthogonal classification.
EFFECT: providing multidimensional identification, authentication, authorisation and key distribution, which provide reliable communication at the deepest common security domain.
