FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises making the pellets from vanadium-bearing titanium-magnetite concentrate with carbon-bearing and binding materials. Solid-phase metallisation of said materials is performed and terminated at 1300-1350°C and metalised pellets are continuously loaded into melting unit for them to be subjected to liquid-phase separation in metal and titanium-vanadium slag. The latter is then removed for further treatment while metal semis are processed to steel in melting unit.
EFFECT: higher efficiency at lower costs.
