FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: there are produced pellets out of mixture of vanadium-containing titanium-magnetite concentrate with solid carbon containing and calcium containing materials and with binding. Pellets are metallised, cooled, and crushed; metallised iron is separated from slag. Pellets are metallised in a furnace with a rotating sole. Process is finished at temperature 1535-1540°C for melting and coagulation of metal iron and for production of titanium-vanadium slag wherein contents of FeO and ratio of CaO/SiO2 is maintained within limits 8-25 % and 1.25-4.0 correspondingly.
EFFECT: production of low carbon (0,01-0,05% C) iron pellets and titanium-vanadium slag with high degree (95-99%) extraction of vanadium from concentrate.
