FIELD: test engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises a support part comprising a cylindrical metal housing with a fixed support, located at its lower part with a recess along the central axis of the cylinder, a piston movable in a vertical direction for loading the sample, made at its lower part with a recess along the central axis of the cylinder under the spherical joint, cylindrical inserts with openings along the central axes of the cylinders, corresponding to the cross section of the sample. The device additionally comprises an intermediate support which is mounted inside the cylindrical housing on the test sample, made is in the form of a metal square frame with rounded corners, on which along two mutually perpendicular lines located parallel to frame sides, four cylindrical openings with thread for fixing screws are made for mounting and fixing the frame on the sample. On the metal frame also along two mutually perpendicular diagonals, four cylindrical openings with thread for mounting foot screws are made, by which the metal frame is firmly fixed inside the device.
EFFECT: increase in resistance to buckling failure in compression of samples due to reducing the flexibility of the samples while simultaneous increasing the critical force.
