SUBSTANCE: target is simultaneously irradiated by two spaced-apart antennae with probing signals at two different frequencies; signals reflected from the target are received; frequency difference of the received signals is determined, and said difference is used to determine the non-radial projection of the velocity vector of the target; the target is further irradiated with two auxiliary monochromatic signals at different frequencies. The auxiliary signal at higher frequency is emitted by the same antenna which emits a probing signal at lower frequency and the auxiliary signal at lower frequency is emitted by the same antenna which emits the probing signal at higher frequency. EFFECT: determining non-radial projections of the velocity vector of a target with low requirements for coherence of the received signals.
