FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: inductive power supply (100), which supports resonance and controls the operating cycle based on feedback reaction from a secondary circuit. The controller (110), the drive circuit (111) and the switching circuit (115) interact to generate an alternating current signal at selected operating frequency and operating cycle. The alternating current signal is fed to a resonance circuit (120) to generate an inductive field for powering the secondary circuit. The secondary circuit reports on received energy back to the primary controller (110) through feedback. Efficiency of energy transfer can be optimised by supporting operating frequency substantially in resonance, and the amount of transferred energy can controlled by adjusting the operating cycle.
EFFECT: efficient energy transfer.
