FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of wireless power transmission, in particular, to inductive power transmission. Disclosed is a power transmitter for inductive transmission of power to a power receiver, wherein the power transmitter comprises a resonance circuit comprising a transmitter coil for generating a power transmission signal. Sampler (511) is also provided, which samples current through the transmitter coil or voltage on the transmitter coil. Message receiver (509) receives messages modulated by load on power transmission signal based on samples. Exciter (203) generates excitation signal for resonance circuit, and circuit (505) of resonance adjustment reduces resonance frequency of resonant circuit by deceleration of state change for resonant component of resonant circuit during fractional time interval of excitation signal cycles. Sampling time controller (513) controls the sampling times in response to at least one of the start and end times of the fractional time intervals and, in particular, can set the sampling times to be in fractional time intervals. Also disclosed are a method of operating a power transmitter and a wireless power transfer system.

EFFECT: improved transmission of power, increased efficiency, increased flexibility of power transfer, facilitation of power transfer implementation, improved communication and reduced communication errors between transmitter and receiver of power.
