FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to system of positioning of the parts for machining and machining system. Positioning system features various configurations for holding various parts such as panels, fuselages, wing skin and engine housing. Positioning system comprises first bearing rail and second bearing rail spaced from the first one. Both said rails support multiple holders interacting to position the parts to be machined. Said holders feature height adjustable over their length to comply with part shape. Invention covers also the method of machining using said positioning system.
EFFECT: simplified design, higher flexibility.
