SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of railway transport with variable gauge, in particular to methods for changing the gauge on a bogie, bogies with variable gauge and devices for changing the gauge. The bogie contains a frame, wheel axle assemblies with a hub and a locking device, as well as axlebox assemblies. In the lower part of the box assembly, there are a bounding surface and a supporting surface. The wheels are mounted on axles with the possibility of sliding in the axial direction in the unlocked state and transmitting torque in the locked state. The device for measuring the gauge width contains a pair of docking rails of the first track, two columns of limiting beams, two sets of rails for wheel displacement, an unlocking rail and a pair of docking rails of the second track. A column of load-bearing beams and a column of limiting beams are located on the outside of each set of wheel offset rails. On the unlocking section, the lateral movement of the wheelset is limited, the weight of the vehicle is transferred to the carrier beam. The wheels of the bogie fall into the groove for shifting the wheels. The locking device is unlocked. In the displacement section, the carrier beams carry the weight of the vehicle, the limiting beams prevent the bogie from moving, the wheels are moved to the desired track. The locking device is maintained in the unlocked state. In the locking area, the locking device is locked, the weight of the vehicle is transferred to the wheels.
EFFECT: possibility of simultaneously changing the track gauge of the left and right wheels.
