FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cans, primarily for liquid, such as metallic cans for beer. The can with a key on the lid for opening or closing the can comprises a key representing a detail obtained by press forming, which interacts with the axis of the can lid. The key is located in the profile recess in the lid and is made with the ability to rotate in both directions on a horizontal surface when closing and opening the can. The key comprises a hollow plug with a seal. On the lid a crush-scored line is formed which bounds the opened lid segment to form the cut-away part of the lid. The can lid is provided on the surface with a profile convexity for interaction with the plug bottom when opening the lid segment along the crush-scored line. The lock is provided for fixing the plug in the closed position. To carry out opening and closing the plug, the gap is formed between the plug flange seal and the lock for entering the edge of the can lid while closing it.

EFFECT: invention provides simplification of the process of opening the can due to reduction of the manipulations.
