FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: front and rear plate stocks are produced, heated to 1100-1240°C, exposed not less than for 2 h and are explosion bonded, then they are hot-rolled with total relative gauge reduction of cross-sectional area of not less than 60% with rolling end temperature equal to 860-980°C, and they are hardened starting from this temperature. After hardening drawing is performed at temperature of 150-190°C, at that front layer is made of steel of the following chemical composition, wt %: 0.3-0.7 of C, 0.5-1.3 of Si, 0.4-0.7 of Mn, 3.0-7.0 of Cr, 0.1-0.7 of Ni, 1.0-1.6 of Mo, 0.3-0.6 of V, not more than 5.0 of Co, Fe and impurities - the rest, and rear layer is made from steel of the following composition, wt %: 0.2-0.4 of C; 0.1-0.3 of Si; 0.2-0.7 of Mn; 1.5-2.5 of Cr; 3.0-6.0 of Ni; 0.3-0.5 of Mo; not more than 4.0 of Co; Fe and impurities - the rest.
EFFECT: improving armoured stability.
