FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: laminar armour material protecting against kinetic hitting means comprises parallel frontal ply of hardened steel of hardness making at least HRC 55 and rear ply. Mid ply is arranged between said plies. Said plies are arranged with clearance of 2-4 mm between frontal ply and mid plies and 6-8 mm between mid ply and rear plies. Note here that said mid ply is made of hardened steel of hardness at least HRC 50.
EFFECT: decreased weight of armour structures.
