SUBSTANCE: hole, or tap in the above branch is covered with material that is continuous with the main channel. In the branch a hole can be made and fluid medium flow can be created when the main channel is in operation and remains at full pressure. The above cover includes a metal diaphragm that is in contact with fluid medium flowing via the main channel. Diaphragm is thinner than walls of the tee-piece and supported with a plug inserted in the above branch. A tee-piece opening tool and a method for controlled opening of the tee-piece branch is described.
EFFECT: simpler erection work and improved operating reliability of a tee-piece.
