FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: in the ignition mode of a burner a spark is sent to an igniter, a pilot burner is ignited with the igniter with separate supply of gas and air, stability of operation of which is maintained with continuous flow of gas and air mixture, gas and air are supplied separately into the main burner with subsequent mixture formation in the combustion chamber, at the same time the main burner is changed into the mode of minimum thermal power, and the main burner flare is burnt with the flare of the pilot burner, continuous control is established over the pilot burner flare with an ionisation sensor, and the igniter is switched off, the burner continues operation in a wide range of loads, at the same time suppression of the main burner flare is excluded, also in case of flare breaking, by means of ignition of the continuously operating pilot burner flare that controls the main flare of the burner.
EFFECT: invention provides for safer and more reliable operation of a burner in a wide range of loads.
