SUBSTANCE: method of drying seeds lies in that the material is charged, ventilated with the drying agent, heated up to the maximum allowable temperature depending on the duration of the process, is dried, cooled and discharged. The maximum allowable temperature of heating the seeds is determined by the formula $${\Theta }_{ma}=\frac{\mathrm{23,5}}{\frac{\mathrm{0,37}\left(100-{\omega }_1\right)+{\omega }_1}{100}+{С}_m\frac{{\omega }_1-{\omega }_2}{100-{\omega }_2}{\eta }_{ev}}+20-10\lg \tau ,$$ where θ_m._a is the maximum allowable temperature of heating the seeds, °C; 23.5 is allowable heat content of seeds, kcal/kg; 0.37 is heat capacity of dry seeds, kcal/kg °C; ω₁, ω₂ are initial and final moisture content of seeds, %; η_ev is part of the heat used for evaporation of moisture; C_m is heat capacity of moisture, kcal/kg °C; τ is the time, min.

EFFECT: use of the invention enables to improve the drying efficiency of breeder seeds.
