FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: first and second versions of the method involve a surface group of seismic detectors measuring seismic signals emitted by microseismic sources. Digital records of the seismic signals are analysed and a microseismic event is detected from the analysis results by calculating certain functionals. The value of the vector argument in which said functional reaches its maximum is established and then used to determine coordinates of the microseismic source and parameters of the mechanism of the centre of the microseismic source. The receivers of the surface group of seismic detectors used are three-component seismic detectors. The values of complete vectors of the seismic signals are calculated at points of exit onto the surface of propagation beams of the seismic wave from the microseismic source to all seismic detectors; the expected values of physical characteristics of the seismic signals are calculated using physical models of the medium under the receivers of the surface group of seismic detectors. When analysing digital records of seismic signals, various defined functionals are calculated on the first and second versions of the method.
EFFECT: high probability of detecting microseismic events and accuracy of measuring coordinates of their sources.
