FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: generator of ice crystals comprises a Dewar's vessel with liquid nitrogen placed in a plane, the lid with a pressure gauge and clamps for attaching to the neck of the Dewar's vessel. Along the axis of the lid a supply pipe is placed, one end of which is provided with a sprayer and is placed outside of the plane in the incoming air flow, and the second end through the cap is put into the Dewar's vessel and is dipped in liquid nitrogen. The generator comprises a device for supply of liquid nitrogen through the supply pipe to the sprayer, and a tube of emergency de-pressurisation. In order to simplify the construction of the device and to increase reliability and safety of its operation, the lid is made in the form of a return valve and is spring-loaded to the neck of the Dewar's vessel with resilient clamps. At that the side surface of the lid which is in contact with the inner side surface of the neck comprises a drainage channel connecting the gas space of the Dewar's vessel with the outside environment when the pressure in it reaches the critical threshold. The device for the forced supply of liquid nitrogen to the sprayer is made in the form of a conical shield placed outside of the plane, and the sprayer is located along the axis of the conical shield and is directed toward the direction opposite the plane movement.

EFFECT: use of this invention enables to improve reliability of the device operation.
