METHOD OF ULTRASOUND DIAGNOSTICS OF BILIODIGESTIVE ANASTOMOSIS STATE Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B8/00

Abstract RU 2494675 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to diagnostics of consistency of anastomoses of biliary ducts. Method consists in examination of hepatopancreatobiliary system - liver, intrahepatic and extrahepatic biliary ducts, jejunum- in B-mode of two-dimensional echography. In order to visualise biliodigestive anastomoses ultrasound sensor is installed on the right on 8-9 intercostal spaces on anterior axillary and midclavicular lines. In early post-operative period the following signs are direct ultrasound signs of anastomosis failure: reduction of anastomosed part of extrahepatic biliary duct by more than 1/3 of diameter in comparison with diameter of its proximal part, signs of cholangitis, aerobilia and biliary hypertension, reduction of echogenicity and disappearance of layered echostructure of anastomosed part of intestine, thickening of intestine walls in the area of anastomosis, identification of layer of finely-dispersed liquid in the area of anastomosis. In late post-operative period narrowing of internal diameter of anastomosed part of biliary tract by more than 1/2 of diameter of its proximal part is a direct ultrasound sign of cicatricial stricture of biliodigestive anastomosis.

EFFECT: application of claimed invention makes it possible to increase self-descriptiveness and accuracy of diagnostics in examination of patients subjected to radical operation on organs of hepatopancreatobiliary system; makes it possible to estimate adequacy of recovery of biliary duct patency and correctness of placement of drainages for temporary external drainage of biliary ducts in early post-operative period.
