FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to extraction additive for removal of impurities including metals and/or amines from crude oil in process of desalination during oil refining; at that the additive consists of methane-sulphonic acid and citric acid where content of methane-sulphonic acid is equal to 5 - 50% percent of the additive volume. Invention is also referred to method of impurities removal from crude oil in process of desalination during oil refining.
EFFECT: improved removal of impurities.
