FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: at emergency failure of voltage in protection circuits of a power plant and control of a valve electric drive, actuation of spring pushers 21 that rotate levers 19 takes place. At that, floating flange 15 is released, which moves upwards under action of axial movement spring 16 by moving clutch coupling 12 in the same direction. Split pin 17 goes out of a lower slot of clutch coupling 12 by releasing intermediate shaft 10 from coupling with drive shaft 13. Torsion spring 14 obtains the possibility of being untwisted; its movement is transmitted to intermediate shaft 10 and to spindle 3 connected to it, which are turned through 90° till closing position of ball shutoff element 2 of ball valve.
EFFECT: improving reliability owing to providing automatic instantaneous closing of a ball valve in case of failure of power supply to a valve drive.
