FINAL BLOCKADE OF NASAL BLEEDING IN CASE OF ETHMOIDAL LABYRINTH TRAUMA WITH APPLICATION OF ENDOSCOPIC EQUIPMENT AND INSTRUMENTS Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to maxillofacial surgery, and can be applied in blockade of nasal bleeding in case of ethmoidal labyrinth trauma. Method consists in performing a skin cut to 0.5 cm in the area of upper internal edge of aditus orbitae on lower medial edge of superciliary arch. Soft tissues are brought apart in sharp and blunt way to eye-socket periosteum. Periosteum is dissected and subperiosteal cavity is formed. After that, frontoethmoidal suture is found after passing backward and downward on upper edge of medial wall of eye-socket. Ethmoidal opening with ethmoidal vessels is found in posterior part of frontoesthmoidal suture by movement on the latter in backward direction. When sufficient visualisation is obtained by means of endoscopic equipment clipping of anterior and posterior ethmoidal vessels with silver clips is performed. Degree of hemostasis is controlled, after which endoscopic equipment and instruments are removed, and wound is sewn layer by layer.

EFFECT: application of the claimed invention makes it possible to ensure final blockade of nasal bleeding by low-traumatic access to ethmoidal arteries, obtain positive cosmetic effect and improve inflammatory-reparative processes in tissues in the course of healing due to clipping vessels with silver clips.
