FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology. 2% lidocaine is introduced into the nasal cavity. A microneedle is used to macerate the mucous membrane of the nasal septum in a circular manner around the eroded dilated vessels of the Kiesselbach's area without affecting the perichondrium and cartilage. Then a haemostatic sponge is introduced into the anterior portions of the nasal cavity, which is removed from nasal cavity 2–3 hours after the procedures.
EFFECT: method enables preventing recurrent epistaxis in children with rheumatic diseases under conditions of immunosuppressive therapy, and improves quality of life of patients.
