FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive brake drives and can be used as vehicle air-operated brake system actuator. Brake chamber comprises housing divided by fixed transverse baffle with central hole into working and storage battery sections. Storage battery section is furnished with sliding separation element with pusher rod coupled therewith and provided with thrust bearing at its end. Working section is furnished with spring-loaded diaphragm into chambers, one being connected with fluid source and another one accommodating adjustable-length drive rod with fork at its end. Said drive rod comprises hollow link extending beyond the housing, retainers, lock bush with lengthwise grooves along ID and torsion spring. Lin outer surface at the end remote from the housing has cross-section shaped to ellipse-like figure with first dimension larger than second one perpendicular thereto. Drive rod fork is made by cutting along link second dimension of said rod end while thrust end of hollow link opposite end can be coupled therewith and with torsion spring end.
EFFECT: smaller overall dimensions, fast release of vehicle brake in emergency.
