FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of ammonium chloride by treating filter liquid from soda production, which can be used in textile industry, pharmaceutics, in soldering metals, tin plating, for filling voltaic cells and as nitrogen fertiliser. The method involves heating the filter liquid, adding a nonionic surfactant in amount of 0.0005-0.001 wt % and hydrochloric acid until pH of the reaction mass reaches 6.0-6.5. The obtained solution is then evaporated in vacuum evaporators and ammonium chloride crystals are extracted by cooling the evaporated liquid to temperature of 10-15°C. Ammonium chloride crystals are then separated and dried.
EFFECT: reducing loss of ammonia and intensification of the evaporation process.
